Comic Cover Challenges is essentially me taking a comic from my collection and attempting to re-draw it as accurately as possible. One of my major faults is I have an issue with foreshortening, hands, perspective, and maintaining actual size. For example, If I were to draw an original piece of two individuals engaged in combat and I want the surrounding to be destroyed I tend to draw the main characters to large to fully capture what is going on. Therefore, I have decided to add this challenge as it is a great way to practice. Mind you, whenever a comic cover challenge is in the process, the original artist of that cover will get and will remain to receive the absolute respect they deserve by being mentioned as the original artist. I do not take any credit for these covers that I attempt to re-draw. The only credit I’ll ever want when doing these challenges is if I nailed it or failed it. If it is a fail then a redo will be in order.

Secondly, there will be instances where I will draw a comic cover as a “Z Variant”. What this means is I will actually have to read the book, and come up with my own variant cover of that comic that I am attemtping to draw it for. When I perform this type of challenge, the credit of the story, characters, publisher, writer, etc. will receive all the credit whereas I will still give the original artist the credit of the original cover. Now, There are also instances where comics have multiple variant covers for a single book so, in that case, if I happen to pull a comic from my collection that is the same story but a different artist for that cover then the proper credit will still be followed based on everything that I have set forth.
